During Lent we have a communal reconciliation service.  This Lent the service will be on Friday March 13 at 7:30 pm.  We will have several priests available to hear confessions.  Most of our priest are available to hear confessions in more than one language.  They should be able to hear confessions in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Vietnamese. 

During the reconciliation service we will together make a short examination of conscience but it is good to make a good examination of conscience before you come.  There are links to several examinations of conscience on the parish website.  They are geared to people in different states of life; children, young adults, married, single, etc.  See stjohnelcerrito.org/faith-formation/sacraments/confession.

If it has been a while since your last confession the website has some helpful videos on how to go to confession.  At the communal reconciliation service, most of our priests will be in quiet corners of the church.  One priest will be in the confessional so you can confess with anonymity. 

We will have several priests hearing confessions so you can choose one you are familiar with or you can choose a priest who does not know you.
