Our church is dedicated to St. John the Baptist.  He is an important figure in the Gospels.

Feast days

St. John the Baptist has two feast days on the Church calendar.

Birth of John the Baptist June 24

 On June 24 of every year we celebrate his birth. Since scripture tells us the Elizabeth was in her sixth month when Jesus was conceived in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we celebrate John’s birthday six months and a day before Christmas.
